CONSULTING

We offer consulting in the area of sound processing for audio and speech signals. Detection and classification of sound/speech can be realized using sophisticated time-frequency algorithms that can be automated or done manually using advanced tools. Please contact us for further details.

AUDIO SERVICES

We also offer modifying audio recordings as a service. Please go to the samples page to see what we can do.

Q & A:

How do I send a file?
For files bigger than 10MB, please provide a download link. Smaller files can also be send per email, but the combined size of all files attached to the email should not be bigger than 10MB. All files should be zipped, no matter what format (www.7-zip.org, use *.7z). You may use PGP or password protection if necessary.

What should I send?
Just send the part of the recording which should be modified, it is not necessary to send the full recording. If you want only parts of a recording to be modified, copy these parts into individual files. Write down the exact position from which you copied the part so that you can paste the modified versions at the same place. Please add some 200 milliseconds timebefore and after.

What file format should I send?
All sound file types are accepted. For highest quality you should send lossless compressed formats (ZIP, 7z, FLAC, ...) of the linear uncompressed sound data (WAV). You may also send raw data with a format specification (bits per sample, channels, sample-rate).

How do I get the file?
A hidden download link is provided, not visible to others. Small files may be send by mail.

How much does it cost?
We charge you for the working time. The rate is 20 Euro for the first 15 minutes, then 10 Euro per 10 minutes, all taxes included. Minimum charge is 20 Euro. You send us your sound file and we will always give you an estimation of the working time before payment.

How big is the working effort?
This is depending on what you want us to do, and the quality. Removing a single feedback in a live recording will not take longer than 5 minutes. Removing a sound depends on what is in the background and on the complexity of the sound to be removed; it is hard to give a figure here. For example, removing a truck passing by in the background of an otherwise noise-free interview may be done in 3 minutes, removing a voice in a dense sound takes longer. Removing the lead voice of a song may take up to 1-2 hours per minute, depending on the audio and quality of the removal. For stereo recordings the modifications must be done for both channels.

How can I trust you on the time charged?
We do the work in steps. For example, the modification will take an hour. Then you would pay us for the first 15 minutes and we will send you the result. If it is fine and you want more, you pay for the next 10 minutes, we send you the result again, and so on.

How do I pay?
Depending on your location, you can either pay to a checking account in the U.S. in USD using the current exchange rate, or a checking account in Europe in EUR. All fees of the transaction must be payed by you, which should be zero within the U.S. or within Europe.

What is the turn-around time?
Usually quite fast, but we always let you know until when we can do it when sending the working time estimation.

How is the overall procedure?
Send us an email explaining what you want, along with the file. We send you the estimation of the work effort, and when it can be done. We start working when we got your money and send you an email when we finished the work along with the download link.
